A monitor without an account

When it says Live,
it is live.

And when the watch stops, you hear about it. Spinka turns two phones you already own into a baby monitor — no account, no cloud, end-to-end encrypted.

Proof of life

The worst failure is the one
nobody tells you about.

A frozen frame that looks like a sleeping child is the loudest complaint in this whole category. Spinka is built around the opposite: every indicator runs on real data.

  • A pulse made of real packets

The ring around your child’s name expands with actual keep-alive packets, never a looping animation. When the packets stop, the pulse freezes within two seconds and the band goes grey.

  • Dropout alarm within ten seconds

Losing the connection is a critical event, not a quiet moment. Siren, haptics, full screen. Ordinary mute will not silence it, and it is never behind a subscription.

  • A frozen frame looks frozen

Connection state and picture freshness are two separate signals. A stale frame gets marked within three seconds. It never passes for live.

Ninety seconds

From install to a running watch

Three steps, no sign-up. Median time to first pairing is under thirty seconds.

  1. 01

    Scan the QR code

An old phone or tablet becomes the baby station, your phone becomes the parent station. One shows a code, the other reads it. No account, no email.

  2. 02

Stand the phone by the crib

The placement guide shows whether the crib is in frame, asks for a charger below fifty percent, and turns on Do Not Disturb for you.

  3. 03

    Run the bedtime check

Twenty seconds, one button: audio flows, notifications get through, the alarm really does sound. You have heard it, so you do not have to take our word for it.

Night

At night it behaves like hardware.

Audio runs continuously; video opens when you ask for it or when something happens. That saves battery, data and your attention.

  • Audio always, video on demand

The level meter breathes with room noise even in silence — that is the proof the audio is alive. Pull the video down like a blind when you want to look in.

  • Cry detection

Crying is told apart from a creaking cot and opens video as a preview. Events build a timeline of the night you can scroll back through.

  • Acoustic Guard

You walk in to check on your child and forget the sending phone is in your pocket. Spinka notices and mutes the speaker before the howl starts.

  • Three-in-the-morning mode

Dark, warm, no glare. Large one-handed targets and text you can read across the room with sleepy eyes.

  • Talking has to be deliberate

The microphone opens only on a completed grab-and-pull gesture. A pocket tap or a child’s hand will not do it.

  • Battery you can trust

Not “43 %” but “lasts until 6:40”, computed from real drain. We are equally straight about heat and signal.

10 s

System silence is an alarm.

The watchdog runs both ways: the parent station watches the baby station, and the baby station watches whether anyone is listening. Ten seconds without proof of life means a full alarm — and that alarm is part of every watch, including the free ones.

“We lost the connection to Toníček. Last heard at 3:12:44, 18 seconds ago. Baby station: battery 62 %, Wi-Fi Home.”

Privacy

No stranger hears a second of it.
It is technically impossible.

Audio and video flow straight between your devices, end-to-end encrypted. Our server only helps the devices find each other and is not needed after that — no content passes through it and it holds no keys. At home the stations find each other over the local network even when the internet is down.

  • No account, no email
  • No cloud holding your child’s data
  • Identity is a device key pair
  • Works at home without internet

Morning

A summary of the night, at no charge

How much your child slept, when they cried, when you spoke to them. Competitors charge hundreds a year for this one feature. Here it is included, because nothing from your night leaves your devices.

Four platforms, phones and tablets

iPad and Android tablets are full stations in both roles, not a stretched phone layout. On a computer you get the parent station in a window that stays on top.

  • iOS and iPadOS iOS 15 and up
  • Android Android 7 and up
  • macOS macOS 13 and up
  • Windows Windows 10 and up

Price

Spinka for a year

First three nights free

249 CZKa year

You see the price before anything else, not after pairing. The subscription renews automatically and you cancel it any time in the App Store or Google Play.

Download and try it

The price always comes from the store. Free nights are never charged.

  • One subscription covers the whole circle. The licence passes by touch on first connection, with no account and no list on a server.
  • No licence state ever interrupts a running watch. We ask about the subscription only on a cold start of the baby station.
  • Safety is never behind the gate. The dropout alarm, the watchdog and the push failsafe run during free nights too.
  • Windows buys nothing. It receives the licence from a phone that already has one.

Questions

What parents ask first

Does it work when I am out on mobile data?

Yes. Spinka is not limited to one network — the baby station can sit on home Wi-Fi while you are on 5G anywhere. When the network switches, the connection recovers within three seconds.

What if the internet goes down at home?

The stations find each other over the local network and connect without a single call to a server. Monitoring and alarms carry on unchanged.

Can you see our child?

No, and it is technically impossible. Audio and video are encrypted between your devices and the server is a blind relay with no keys. The privacy labels in the stores match exactly what is written here.

What does it do to the battery?

The parent station stays under three percent an hour in audio mode; the baby station lasts over ten hours off the charger. We publish real figures per device class rather than one marketing number.

Can a grandparent or babysitter listen in?

Yes, through a single-use QR code with a time limit. Guest access expires on its own and you can revoke it by name at any moment.

How many devices can I pair?

As many as you like, in both roles. Both parents and the tablet in the living room can listen at once.
